(Oh!), action and comedy-The Family Star, psychological and suspense-Bahumukham-Good, Bad & The Actor and adventure and thriller-Manjummel Boys. Boys).

Kannada cinema has also brought 5 big films. Apart from action and drama- Bharjari Gandu, fantasy and thriller-Avatara Purusha 2, comedy and drama-Marigold, crime and drama-The Dark Web, Thriller-Matinee. This time Malayalam cinema has brought 3 major films. Action & Drama-Badal: The Manifesto, Horror & Thriller-L and Drama-Chappakuthu.

Kannada film Avatar Purush-2 is much discussed. This film of about 2 hours 4 minutes is action-fantasy and thriller. The film has been directed by Simple Suni. The producer is Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah. In this sequel, Sharan, Saikumar, Ashika Ranganath, Sudharani, Sadhu Kokila and veteran Hindi cinema actor Ashutosh Rana are in lead roles.

If we first talk about the story of the film, it is based on dark magic. The film has been made in a light-hearted style, so that the audience does not feel bored. ‘Avatar Purush 2’, presented as a comedy-drama, was initially scheduled to be released on March 22, but due to some reasons the date had to be postponed to April 5.

‘Avatar Purush 2’ has been told an original story. It is a different matter that it combines some aspects of Part-1. However, there are many interesting twists in the story. The first part of this sequel was released on May 6, 2022 with the name Astadigbandanamadalakam.

After the Hollywood film series Harry Potter, which created a stir across the world in the fantasy and drama genre, many of its famous films came. From Bollywood to South cinema, everyone has created fantasy dramas on the lines of Harry Potter. Some succeeded in this endeavor and some failed.

Adipurush-2 takes this tradition forward. However, desi tadka has been added to it. Just as the characters of the serial ‘Ramayana’, which became popular in every household in the early days of television, used to use weapons by waving their hands or blowing air, this trick has been adopted in Hindi cinema even today. The same use has been shown in the practice of witchcraft for centuries. The same was seen in Adipurush-2 also.

Background music has a big impact in fantasy and horror films. If we talk about this film made under the banner of ‘Pushkar Films’ and ‘Mohan Films’, then Arjan Janya’s hard work is visible. Music keeps the audience engaged. But there is nothing new in music.

The VFX of the film are fine. Abhishek M has worked on these. The work of cinematographer William David and editor Manu Shedgar is also good. There is nothing new in the story of the film, but Suni and Sheelam M Swamy along with their team have tried to make it entertaining.

The formula of the film is old. In this, the plot of medieval India has been taken. In this, the younger son of a family named Ram Jois goes to visit the fair. Suddenly he goes missing from the ancient temple built there. The story revolves around this incident. The story depicts a conspiracy to acquire a hung stone with magical powers.

The stunt choreography of the film is by Vikram Mor. These have turned out well. Costume designer Arundhati Anjanappa had to work hard in this film. The work of art director Ullas Haider is also visible.

This is an entertaining film for the viewers who liked Part 1. But those who rejected Part 1 may not like this one either. Well, those who like magical world, ghosts and mysterious stories can watch it once. As far as acting is concerned, everyone has tried to give better acting.

It has been generally propagated that the making of Kannada films in South Cinema is not as good as expected. However, producer Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah argues that when you watch his film, you will know with how grandly he has made this film.

Everyone likes mythological stories, this film is also an attempt to capitalize on it. Sharan does good comedy, but there was nothing special for him to do in Avatar Purush 2. An attempt has been made in the film to scare the audience with black magic, but it creates boredom at some places. The views appear to be scattered at many places. Well, the film is not so bad that it cannot be watched. If Avatar Purush-2 is not compared with a film like Harry Potter, then it can be watched sitting.
